Going to Deep North

I took wedding anniversary trip to Tohoku (north eastern Japan) with my husband.
I think that Tohoku is world of mistery for those who was born in western Japan.
It really was wonder land for me!

結婚記念日に夫と東北へ旅行しました。
私のような西日本出身の人間にとって東北は魅惑の地です!

This whole travel was by train, which made this trip very exciting.
We especially enjoyed Gono Line which runs along the coastal line of Aomori through Akita to feel that we were on roller coaster.

今回の旅行は全部鉄道で移動。とっても楽しかったです。
特に青森から秋田の海岸沿いを走る五能線。
まるでジェットコースターのようでした。

  1. Wonderful photos! I visited Tohouku in 2004 and I thought it was very beautiful. Sometimes it reminded me of New England, but only sometimes -- mostly it was like nowhere I had ever been before. And the food was great! I'm glad you had an opportunity to take a trip with your husband. Happy anniversary!

  2. Hi, Annie,
This is my first time to visit Tohoku and I felt in love with Aomori prefecture: Is it a bit similar to New England?
I wish to go there someday (especially Rhode Island)...
